I've to freeze my HEK293cells for about 15-20 days as im going for a vaccation. Is it okay to keep the cells in cryobox in -80?Or should it be liquid nitrogen alwayz, even for few days??

I routinely freeze down cells and stor in -80C for a few days to months. They are quite stable.

I think If you have stocks made and stored at -196 degree C, why not thaw that after coming back from holidays?

But storing cells at -80 degree C is okay as you are going to store them only for 20-25 days.
