In enzyme kinetics, how can i calculate the proportion of substrate used up? - (Nov/26/2006 )

in percentage?

The eNADH (340nm) = 6300 M-1 cm-1

the e above is from the equation A=ecl

based on the equation above, you have the value of e and l (1 i think), and to find C you still need to know the absorbance A at 340nm.. rolleyes.gif

I'm not exactly sure what the question is, however I think that u would need to find the initial concentration of your substrate....then the concentration after the reaction was complete...the percentage of substrate used would then be a ratio of the final concentration / initial concentration times 100 %...
