Does TPA induce cell proliferation/growth? - HT1080 cells (Nov/23/2006 )

Dear All
I want to know abut role of TPA on cell growth and viability.

In my experiment, I found that the TPA prevented the cell death (with compare to drug and drug+TPA). We are expected that the TPA would induce cell growth and proliferation of our cancer cells, but did not.

Does anybody suggest me about the TPA action on cell growth?? Let me know links/articles or your work suggesting TPA's action on cancer cells.

Thanks in advance.
Dinesh

there are myriad papers dealing with PKC and TPA in oncogenic cells; from my work I can tell that the concentration of TPA used is very important

pubmed will provide all relevant papers and reviews in the field

Hello Cosmodrom smile.gif
thanks for the response. I couldnt found/track the papers on HT1080 cells. Am willing to know and have informations from you guys.

Can anybody share their information about TPA's role in HT1080 cells??

Is their any articles testing whether TPA proliferate the HT1080 or supress the growth???

I will highly appreciate your idea and suggestions!!
