How to coat the flask with Poly-L-Lysine - (Nov/01/2006 )

Hi Dear all, smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

I want to coat some flasks with poly-L-Lysine for the primary hepatic cell culturing. Do you know how to perform the coating process? What is the difference between Poly-L-Lysine coating and collagen coating? How could I know what kind coating I should choose for different cells?

Thanks for your reply in advance! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

make a solution of 0.1 mg/ml poly-L-lysine, and cover your plates or wells; incubate for 1h, then collect the solution; rinse with water and dry;

poly-L-lysine is a cheap alternative to more costable ECM proteins, and is accepted by many cell types;
