Insulin concentration - (Oct/29/2006 )

What is the plasma insulin concentration of a normal indiividual after fasting?

I'm told it is 4.5 - 5 ml/l

but for a diabetic it can be anything between 0 - 50 ml/l but between 0-2 ml/l they need suger immediatly or they go into a diabetic coma.

Information i got from a friend who is diabetic and his girlfriend works as a nurse in a hospital.
