purification of catalase from liver? - (Oct/19/2006 )

sad.gif can anyone help me to find a protocol for the purification of catalase from rabbit liver???????and i will be greateful........... smile.gif

Since I didnt have the time and materials to purify a liver enzyme.. I used whole liver extracts in my assays with good results

u are right, the assay gives a good results when u use the whole liver extracts, but the thing that i need is to get the enzyme in a purifyed form, so i need help to get there. unsure.gif

I bet you can find it from one of the series "Methods in Enzymology".

biggrin.gif u had won the bet, but its my bad luck that the procedure in "Methods in Enzymology" needs larg amount of beef liver ( more than 100g) and i have rabbit liver of about 40g also - the method was for large scale- so i stell need help. wink.gif
