DNA Extraction - Histon-DNA (Oct/17/2006 )

Hi,
I like to seperate the genomic DNA of ecoli (with assempled proteins) from the rest in the Pellet after Lysis, is this possible ?
Is there a Way to get hisones of the dna ?

I think E.coli DNA will not have histones because it is prokaryotes. If you are isolatating a DNA with standered phenol/chlorophorm extraction method, you will definetely get the purified DNA from the rest of the pellet

You need to log on to any of the search engine and type the DNA isolation. You will have a list of methods.
