human bone marrow msc culture - (Oct/13/2006 )

i have jz started doing msc culture
but things are not going smoothly
contamination did happen
can anyone please help me?
is that anything i can do other than discard the cells?
and how to enhance the cell growth ?

how exactly do you isolate and grow your stromal cells? what goes into your medium?

i use density grandient separation (ficoll paqeu) to isolate msc from marrow
and then use Dmem wif 10% FCS
1% streptomysin
.5% fungizone
.1% getamysin
actually the contamination are due to fungi
i discuss with my supervisor to increase the fungizone but we do think of this may supress the cell growth rate
so do u have any suggestion?
