MDA-MB-231 antibiotic - (Oct/04/2006 )

Hi Guys

I just thowed MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells but i dont think they r growing very well. i see significant amount of cell death. I grew this cell line before and never had a problem. However this time my media is sublimented with 1%antibiotic/ antifungal. Is it possible that the antibiotic antifungal is what affecting the growth

i've grown them with pen and strep with no probs (they grow like weeds). what specific antibiotics/fungals are you using?

I have run into problems using too high concentration of Amphotercin B (fungizone) with these cells. Try to keep it as low as possible.
