Treatment of cancer cell - (Oct/02/2006 )

Hi,

As for your information, I had treated the cell with a natural compound in the 96-well plate. I able to get the IC50 and the morphological changes of the treated cancer cell also can be observed in which i noticed that the treated cell round up as compare to the untreated cell.
However when i treated the cell in the 6-well plate,not morphological changes can be observed after the adding of the natural compound. The concentration of compound that i add in the 6-well plate is the same as in the 96-well plate.
Can anyone give me some suggestion?

May be due to the cell density.

ie. the cell density of the 96 well plates is lower than the 6 well plates.

or different plate material (PET? PC? coated/uncoated?)

or different volumes of medium which influence diffusion of O2 and CO2 to the cells
