Giving a review as a reference - Writing a research proposal (Sep/28/2006 )
I would like to know whether it is ok to citate a review as a reference in a research proposal instead of the actual paper that reported the discovery for the first time?
Thanks for your replies!

personnaly I found better to cite the original paper.
you can cite a review to help a reader where to find a good review (for review see machin et al)
, but to cite a spécific result it's better to cite the original paper.
