Places to get free stuff - add yours - (Sep/24/2006 )

This was inspired by the thread on creative ways to get antibodies: http://www.protocol-online.org/forums/inde...showtopic=13884

I thought it would be a good idea if people posted about free (or really cheap) stuff they are aware of.

The ones I know of:

1) you can get 1ug of up to 5 different protein kinases for free from Signalchem (http://www.signalchem.com/promotions.php). Although you do have to pay shipping.

2) Takara offers some free stuff (polymerases, ligase kits) for new labs (http://www.takaramirusbio.com/html/newlab.html)

Apparently you can get a small vial of Go-Taq polymerase from Promega now. But nothing beats the New England student kit.

not totally free, but ...
