Cell density to platte after trypsinization - (Aug/22/2006 )

Hi !

Is there any problem if after the trypsinisation I platte the cell at high density so the next day they will be at 70-80% confluency ? example : HEK293

Is someone know a reference for that ?

Is the phenotype of the cells will be changed ?

thanks for your help

There should b no problem if u want to plate HEK293 at high density so that u could use it the next day. The phenotype will not change so soon.

agree with scolix....no problemo

Agree with Scolix (and Casper)...

(For transfection purposes, people will often plate at rather high density without any problem).
