decrease in brdu incorporation and PCNA level = reduced proliferation? - (Aug/13/2006 )

Can I draw such conclusion?

Or a decrease in BrdU incorporation can only say reduction of DNA synthesis, but it does not necessarily refer to the prolfieration rate? If this is true, what kinds of experiments are required for further confirmation? Thanks

I think it is true that decrease BrdU incorporation is the result of the reduction of DNA synthesis, which is due to decrease cell proliferation. When the cells proliferate, they incorporate the BrdU into their DNA.

To confirm, you can count the cell with Trypsin blue.

I hope this may help.
