Anybody working with BT549? - (Aug/09/2006 )

Hey, I am trying to set up a cytotoxicity assay with BT549 and i want to determine when to add my treatment...does anyone know generally how long it takes to get 70 to 80% confluency with this cell line...I have been incubating 100k cells per well in a 12 well plate, and at 48 hrs of incubation only few have attached and there are mostly floating cells....


Can anyone confirm the doubling time of this cell line??

What media are you using? I haven't grown these cells, but am getting ready to. What I have been seeing is people using RPMI + 10%FCS supplemented with 1ug/ml insulin. Good luck!
