For the Western Blot, if you expose and show your band on X-ray film. You can scan the film, calculate the luminosity (Sorry, I am not sure of the English name). There are some machine can do this. I used the histogram function of Photoshop to calculate it. However, the quantitation of western blot usually is not accurate.
