Mouse died earlier in uterus. HELP NEEDED! - (May/30/2006 )
Our KO mouse is supposed to die in the uterus at E13.5. So usually we will do E12.5 preperation to get the tissues we need. Something very strange happened recently that we could not get any KO fetus at E12.5. It appeared they died earlier as I checked some reabsorbed tissue and most of them are KOs. I even did a E11.5 prep and still no KO mouse. Does anybody has the same problem and could you share your experience with me please?

Have you recently been breeding into a different strain, ie: genetic modifier effect? Another possibility is infection problems in your mouse room, have the Vets recently checked your room? Many infections can lead to spontaneous abortions.
