Chromosome Sorting - Active vs. inactive X chromosome (May/22/2006 )

Hi,

Anyone has an idea about separation of the X chromosomes by flow??

I wonder whether there is a way of separating the active from the inactive X chromosome, if so can I have the references??

This is not possible using conventional chromosome flow sorting techniques which, as I understand, sort on the basis of DNA content and base composition using dyes that don't differentiate between 5mC and C.
