C. elegans organelle isolation - Organelle isolation from whole organism (May/14/2006 )
Hello all,
After searching through the literature to the depths of even the Wormbreeders' Gazette, my team and I have yet to find any reference to this procedure (or, has it even been attempted):
- Simply, we are trying to isolate whole organelles from whole organisms to be used in a CR (caloric restriction) lifespan extension / aging large-scale proteomics investigation...
Thinking about alternatives such as ultrasonification, the French Press, or even simply a mortar are starting to scare away any possibility of this even being feasible...
Could anyone help please..?

Have you looked at wormbook.org?
