What is the difference between SE(Standard Error) and SEM(Standard Error of Mean - (May/01/2006 )

when I add Error bar on my statistics, I am not sure which one I should use, SE or SEM? Is it possible to use Excel to do SEM?

I guess both of them are same.Yeah u can use Excel to do the SEM.SEM is SD/sq root of no of observations. In Excel u can calculate the SD from formula.I guess it helps.Let me know

see http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ and ask math world - the accuracy will probably be better and you should have more confidence that you are getting the correct information.

Enjoy.
