hi..............

what is exact formula to calculate units of enzyme activity from reactin during enzyme assay. if one would want to determine it by HPLC method, is this formula same for both spectrophotometric and HPLC assay.

Is that what you want?

1 kat = 6 . 107 enzyme units
1 enzyme unit = 16,67 x 10-9 kat = 16,67 nkat

with 1 enzyme unit as the amount of enzyme that catalyses reaction of one µmol substrate per minute and one kat as the enzyme activity in mol of substrate catalysed per second.
