cystic fibrosis screening - (Mar/27/2006 )

hello everyone.
I am really looking for an established method to look for mutations in CFTR gene for cystic fibrosis. currently i have received DNA samples from CF patients. hope u can help me. thanx alot.

I'm assuming that you did a search in pub med and google, before asking here.

I think that real time PCR is being used a lot in CF, because it is quick, easy, and you can see the difference in the melt peaks.

You could always aks you PI to get in contact with another orgnisation doing work on CF, and they could send you their protocol.
