If it possible do a viable experiment where you IFNg treat B-cell lines, such as Raji, and observe increased hLA-DR expression or is it necessary to carry out induction experiments on non- B-cells, such as fibroblasts.

Robbie...one may do the experiment as you describe but results are rather poor.  One of the best assays is to look at induction of TNFalpha reeceptor in phages after exposure to INFg OR look at iNOS in phages. They are easy to isolate and culture and the results are easily quntified.
