HUVEC transfeccion - (Feb/17/2006 )

Hello Everybody!

I'm looking the best protocol for transfeccion with HUVEC cell.. I tried with Lipofectamine 2000 and my recovery was less than 5% with retroviral transfeccion I had the same result..
Can someone help me?

Hi,

I've never actually measured the transfection efficiency, but I have tried a couple of methods with HUVECs. SuperFect (QIAGEN) gave decent results for my application (luciferase assay) but I got a much higher signal after we got an Amaxa nucleofector. If you can find someone who has an Amaxa machine that you can borrow, that would definitely be the way to go. (You can buy kits specifically designed for HUVEC nucleofection).
