resuspending cells - am i going to damage them? (Feb/07/2006 )

Hi,

I am culturing a keratinocyte cell line. I was wondering what methods people use to resuspend cells.

The cell pellet seems really sticky and it doesn't want to resuspend. I have been vortexing the tube to get the pellet to resuspend and I am worried that this might damage them. What is the best method to use?

I was culturing keratinocyte cell line for few days, but i was amazed how they were sticked.
I put trypsine, at 37°C for 10 minutes, and then I shake the bottle like crazy (it makes foam).
The cells are fine.
