Problem with marine microbe identification - (Jan/13/2006 )

hello guys...
im facing some problem identifying some marine bacteria isolated from coral mucus..i was done some biochemical test and now i'm doing rapd-pcr...
anyone can help me to tell how to identify the bacteria??

A quick easy method would be 16S sequencing. This will give you results you can compare to a databas such as GenBank.

If you don't want to sequence, I would suggest the Biomerieux API strips, they are easy to use and their database is fairly extensive.

You do a 16S rRNA clone library and sequence your clones ... asuming that you have a microbial community structure system going.
