race.unil.ch clustering microarray - clustering in race algorythme (Nov/05/2005 )

Hi,

Do anybody know the algorytm used in Race to generate the samplecluster file during the normalization step?

I am currently using the programme of microarray analyse race (www.race.unil.ch), the first step of the analyse is the normalization of the data which generate a tree of the similarity between the different microarray experiment. The fact is that I generated different normalization with a different number of data. the sampleclusters I generated are very different and my group of interest is allway near frome a different group...how can I know which one is the better one? I wanted to understand the algorythme used for the generation of this samplecluster.
Thank for your help

I usually find it is best to know how a method works before applying it to my data! I have just been informed this responce should be RTFM by one of the post-docs in the lab!

Is a link to the free access paper that describes RACE... there was even a link on the race page to the journal....eyes open wide awake
