Is it possible to reuse electroporation cuvette to transfect siRNA - (Aug/24/2009 )

Is it possible to reuse electroporation cuvette to transfect siRNA? How to clean the cuvette for reuse? how to get rid of RNase if there is RNase contamination?

Thanks.

I'm not sure why you would want to re-use the cuvette. To save money? If so, why would you want to risk contamination and losing your experiment for a cuvette which probably costs no more than a couple of dollars?

Rinse it with 70% ETOH (many times)
Let it under UV, about 1 hour
Pack in a plastic bag, seal it
Put it in microwave, put a becher with some water also,
Run about 10 minutes

That`s fine.
Use it with no fear.

You just can not reuse many times because the electrodes starts to deteriorate.
I reuse them like 3 times.

Drop the used cuvettes into a container of water to prevent the DNA and cells from drying out before you have time to clean them.
