Next generation whole genome sequencing - prices and technology (Jul/17/2009 )

Can anyone please give me an idea of which is the best technology to sequence the whole genome, SOLiD or ILLUMINA?
Also does anyone knows how much approximately will it cost to sequence the whole human genome, using these technologies? Thank you.

Step one: Find a sequencing service
Step two: Ask questions
Step three: receive answers

And 'cause the internets told me to:

Step four: ???
Step five: PROFIT

I think that if you have to ask how much, you can't afford to do it...

You should contact sequencing centers. Price varies. Also, you can ask how many reads they can get with single run.
