Effect of Pollution on Photosynthetic Rate of Spartina Alterniflora - (Jul/08/2009 )
Here is an interesting lab.
The Effect of Pollution on the Photosynthetic Rate of Spartina alterniflora

Abstract:
Pollution is often shown to have an effect on plants that grow within city limits.
This study investigated the effect of pollution on the photosynthetic rate of Spartina
alterniflora (marsh grass) both within the city of Charleston as well as in its rural areas.
LoggerPro Software was used to record the amount of CO2 released by each sample.
The results of the CO2 were recorded by the students and then used to make a paired two
sample for means t-test. There is no significant relationship between pollution and the
photosynthetic rate of urban vs. rural marsh grasses. This suggests that the city of
Charleston may not be heavily polluted.
Read the rest of the lab report.
Why wasn't "pollution" made concrete with analytical measurements suich as NOx, SOx, ozone? Are there sufficnet data that concretely define "pollution" strictly based on rural marsh grass photosynthesis?
"pollution" in this context results very vague, sounds like an experiment designed by politicians to say their town is not polluted.
This is no post, its just a way to lure you to their website.
I wouldnt be too suprised if there is some sort of payment involved in the use of that website.
You cant even join it if you are not a member of facebook.
Its seems some sort of website where you can "buy" your homework or maybe its free, dunno.
But anyway: its just a trick to lure you to their website, nothing more.
pffft..... it's not even that interesting as to click on the full report
Thank you so much for the post. It's really useful.
