Adhesion molecules - (Jun/27/2009 )

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with adhesion molecules like fibronection, vitronectin, collagen, laminin or other???
How can i use these molecules to enhance cells adhesion to flasks? Is it safe to use these molecules in transfected cells? Which ones work fine with HepG2 cells?

Thank you very much

It is quite common to find plates etc coated with a range of different attachment factors. I personally have coated plates with collagen (gelatin) and poly-L-lysine. It is pretty easy to do, just add the substance to the plates and leave for a couple of hours, remove excess and then allow to dry.

It is fine with transfected cells. Hep-G2 should be OK with any of the ones you suggested.
