Accell siRAN from Dharmacon - (Jun/23/2009 )

Hi,

I am researching into what is the most efficient way to knockdown/silence a gene in adherent cell culture (Human epithelial cell line) using siRNA.

I came across Accell siRNA technology from Dharmacon/(Thermo Scientific) that promises to get the cells to uptake siRAN into the cell using only their special Accell media with high efficiency.
It sounds great but I am a little bit apprehensive of their promise and would like your opinion on it if you have used it and how does it compare to the conventional transfection methods? Is it all it claims to be?

I was interested in it too but did not further pursue because they don't let you know how it works, and everything from them cause an arm and a leg.
