Intestine-407 - Hela Contaminant (Jun/21/2009 )

The cell line I've been using for toxicity testing is actually a Hela contaminant -
For a paper I'm writing, do I say " Intestinal epithelium cell line" or "Hela contaminant?"

also, I've seen others that refer to Int-407 as a cancer cell line, but it was derived from normal embryonic intestinal tissue....

So, for fear of looking like an idiot, I don't want to ask the people I work with....
but what should I call my Int-407s?!

cheers

Call them Int-407, but discuss the possibility that they are actually HeLa as the result of a contamination.
