cloning - affect on c-terminal (Jun/11/2009 )

Hi,

I've cloned and transfected my cells with a full length gene construct (only the CDS). Now I'm looking to order antibodies agaisnt my protein. Most antibodies for my protein are polyclonal and target the the C-terminal. I don't have experience in ordering antibodies, this is my firsat time. Should I buyteh ones targeting the N terminal?

If I adda tag to my constrcut, will taht affect the antibodie sthat target eth c-terminal?

First decide , the aim of u'r experiment? If most af the available ab's target a particular region, u better clone that region.
