Qiagen miRNeasy kit - (May/11/2009 )

Quick couple:

Has anyone tried using Trizol (invitrogen) homogenized samples on the Qiagen columns?

Does anyone know what (if any) is the difference between Trizol and Qiazol (qiagen- comes with the miRNeasy kit)??

Of course you can load total RNA extracted from Invitrogen's Trizol into Qiagen's column.

I haven't tried it, but the QIAzol looks/smells EXACTLY like TRIzol. Also, chloroform is added to both in the same exact ratio. So I'd doubt there is any problem with it.

QIAzol does come with the columns.
