MRSA safety issue - How to handle MRSA? (Apr/25/2009 )
Are there any demands to handle this bacterial (taphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus Rosenbach)? For example, any special hood? Any strict trainings? or other safety issues need to be noted?
I would appreciate it if you could lead me to some references for further reading.
standard safety practices used for any pathogen apply (gloves, PPE, good disinfection, etc). it's not necessary to work with it in a hood, but do be careful to avoid aerosol formation.
