Tetramers - (Apr/23/2009 )

Hi everyone,

I ordered a tetramer specific for my peptide of interest on the H2Kd allele from NIH and I'll be using it to quantify peptide specific CD8s in Balb/c mice post-infection. Would I be able to use this tetramer to analyze CD8s in B6 mice or do I have to order a new tetramer?

This is my first year working in an immuno lab and my knowledge on the subject is fairly limited. Ahy help would appreciated. Thanks!

It's highly likely that you'll be fine using the same tetramer, but the only way to be 100% certain is to try and find out. ... I'd bet $ that you'll be fine, though. The genetic differences between the two mouse lines are incredibly small.
