gradient to separate 1kDa proteins - (Apr/10/2009 )

Hi all, i would know at what % should can i make a gel gradient to separate 2 proteins that differs each other only for 1kDa...

-alessandro-

it depends on the actual mw of the proteins.

1kDa difference is more significant in a small protein than a large one.

You may not be able to. Westerns aren't necesarily exact, you usually need to give a band about a 5kDa margin of error.

You will probably need 2D resolution.
