Detecting glucose in reactions with OD - Detecting glucose without converting (Mar/16/2009 )

Please if one can help by giving me method for detecting glucose By OD without converting glucose to any products
for examples: without using glusoe oxidase and then peroxidase
and if possible to get out the glucose concentration
please help me

do you want to detect it in free solution or from some other source?

will there be any other sugars present?

in lc you can detect eluted sugars at 232nm or with a refractive index detector.

I want to detect the glucose converted from another sugar by new enzymatic reaction

you will not be able to identify a specific sugar unless you separate them on a calibrated column.

you will not be able to differentiate the sugars by od alone.

If glucose is the product of your reaction why are you worried about destroying/changing it during detection?

because of it require long time i need short step with short time for HTS
