artifacts in inmunofluorescence - (Mar/03/2009 )

Hi all,
Does anybody know if methanol or PF and methanol introduces artifacts of some kind in inmunofluorescence?

Paraformaldehyde (PFA) can cause artifacts through autoflourescence of undissolved PFA crystals.

There are papers showing that certain fixations can influence the localization and staining of a specific protein. Check out this paper: PMID: 1527176
