Mutation - Δ/Δ (Feb/20/2009 )

Could some one say what is the meaning of 'Δ/Δ' sign for mutation. E.g. Sod5Δ/Δ. I suppose one delta means deletation of one gene. But confused for two deltas.
Thank you!

I'm not positive, but it makes sense that both copies would be deleted (for diploid organisms)

As pointed above, the Δ symbol, delta greek letter, stands for “deleted” (get it, starts with d!).
Then, double delta mean a null mutation !
