SYBR Green miRNA analysis - (Feb/20/2009 )
Hi all,
just starting some miRNA analysis using SYBR green and ambion primer kits... just a quick query... can i use any sybr green real-time pcr mastermix? the one i currently use for my mRNA real-time (from primerdesign) is so cost effective i don't want to have to go out and buy another..... any ideas?

Are you asking whether it's OK to use primers you got from Ambion with another company's SYBR kit? If so, yes it should work just fine, although the two respective companies won't tell you that and may not be willing to help out with troubleshooting if you have difficulties. If you ever move to probe based real-times, you can also use primers and probes from different companies, they all work on the same substrate, DNA.
