graphing/statistical software - (Feb/14/2009 )

hello all

anybody recommend software that will both create graphs and perform statistical software? i am currently using Graphpad Prism (which i love) but am having trouble getting a copy for my macintosh

any suggestions for a mac?

use R http://www.r-project.org/
it is available for any platform (including mac)

R will require you some programming knowledge. You can also try SigmaPlot.

A second vote for SigmaPlot. I also use R sometimes -- I'm not all that proficient at the language, but sometimes it's the best choice, for things like microarray analysis.

I use R for my (and my lab's) data analysis. SigmaPlot is a good program but is not available for everyone. Besides by installing some packages (e.g. RCommander) you can also have GUI in R so that you don't always need to hack the source code.
