Reuse DNA spin column - (Feb/03/2009 )
Any different recommendations for the Sigma GenElute columns. They come with a special column prep solution which I am not sure if it's the same as the Qiagen solutions.
I am confused about the method exactly.
It says to soak in 1 M HCl then rinse in sterile distilled water and equilibriate with Buffer QBT.
When they say rinse do they really mean just rinse or fill the column and keep cetrifuging the water through?
Also same thing about equilibrate. What does that mean exactly.
does anybody know about buffers from Macherei-Nagel NucleoSpin Blood L, NucleoSpin Plant L columns?

fill the column and centrifuge to get rid of the water
I mentioned this to a TA of mine, and he said that 1.0 M NaOH would probably be just as good. I dunno, I have some OMEGA HiBind DNA mini-columns, I was wondering if it would be possible to use a different buffer to capture RNA instead?
This one is neat! Yea...the Qiagen kit is really really expensive. 5xx USD for the DNA/Blood Kit (250)

everybody has his own opinion. But please show us evidence. If you say something ,please show me proof.
Regarding quality, please give me statistic data to prove your words. I just want to tell you a truth. American friends buy maybe 200 billion USD products from CHINA every year. I don't know why if you say the quality is bad. Does we force americans to buy ?Does we cheat americans to buy? Are you racialism to chinese? Are you liar???
And I also tell you. for those simple spin column products, We already sell more and more in US and world wide.
I can show you evidence. Even in USA. people still want to buy same products at the cheaper price.
If you guys don\t realize the truth is Americans salary is too high. USA is in danger. Just like motor. GM go bankrupt is not beause of its bad tech. but because it makes the same motor or better motor at too high price( labor fee and medical fee for employee). In my opinion. I still think GM is much better than china motor in term of tech. but this can\t prevent it from bankrupting. Tell me why? tell me why bad quality motor plant is still alive. but good quality motor go bankrupcy? .Even your quality is two times better than us. but your price is 10 times than us ? which one you will choose?
that is my final words for this post. No time to waste for you. I dont want to change you. but certainly you can't change my opinion.
I just need to do the same job at the low salary. I just need to do the same job on weekends when you guys is on vacation. maybe 30 years later. every thing is clear.
