Hi,
I did immunohistochemistry for parvalbuminergic neurons and their perineuronal matrix. What kind of programm do you suggest to quantify them?

Fiji, which is an implementation of ImageJ designed and pre-packaged for image analysis.

If you have no internal reference, it would be semi-quantitative only
