No growth - (Oct/04/2018 )

When growing Micrococcus luteus on slants at room temperature I had great growth, when growing it in a nutrient broth there was no growth, however at 37 degrees both grew just fine. Why would it grow on nutrient agar, but not nutrient broth at room temp but grow on both at 37?
