ELISA and Sugar/saccharides - (Mar/31/2018 )

Hi All

Does anyone know sugar or mono/poly saccharide in sample affect/interfere the ELISA result or prevent antibody/target binding?

This ELISA is not to measure the saccharide but measuring something else in the sample but the sample contains polysaccharides.

Due to the experimental design, this polysaccharide cannot be removed, and the sample cannot be diluted.

Please let me know if there is any publication or data suggesting this issue and possible solution for this assay to work.

Thank you in advance

while they shouldn't effect the elisa, you can determine this empirically by running a range of the polysaccharides to determine their effect.
