How to make DTT? - (Feb/27/2018 )

I want to make a 2.5 M DTT solution. I have calculated it as follows:

MW of DTT - 154.25 g/mol

The total volume is want is 5 ml.

So, I need to mix 1.925 g in 5 ml of water to make a 2.5 M solution.

Is this correct?

Short answer: almost. I make it 1.928 g

If you show how you calculated and the working - then you can almost always trouble shoot easily.

n = v * c

n = 0.005 * 2.5

n = 0.0125

m = n * mr

m = 0.0125 * 154.25

m = 1.928
