amino acid sequence - (Jun/29/2016 )

Hi, I Would really appreciate of someone could correct me.

My antibody phosphorylates at ser552. I assume this is position 552 from the first amino acid. However, when I look at the amino acid sequence that the antibody data sheet provides, the amino acid sequence is not from what I can read from the first amino acid. The amino acid sequence that is provided in the datasheet of ser552 is actually serine at position 853 from the first amino acid.  Am'I reading something wrong?

Normally you would be correct that ser552 is the 552nd amino acid. I guess someone made a mistake in the data sheet. You can try getting in touch with customer support for the product and see what they can do.

is it possible that the protein is augmented and that the 552 is from the native protein?
