Cytotoxicity of hoechst staining in overnight experiment - (Mar/18/2016 )

Hi everyone,

Has anybody ever done an overnight microscopy acquisition of cells that were stained with hoechst just before starting the experiment? If so, did your cells survived the night? was there a big photo-bleaching of the Hoechst staining?

Do you mean that you stained first and watched that at different points overnight?

For me, if I want to test cytotoxicity during a period, I will choose 4 or 6 checking points and use 4 or 6 parallel samples, not only one sample and watch all night.
